Property Valuation and Consultancy

Knight Frank Uganda Valuations' objective is to ensure that our clients have timely, accurate and professional valuations in order to access financing, make investment decisions and assess risks.

Property valuations need to be both independent and objective and undertaken in accordance with recognised and approved standards and compliance regulations.  At Knight Frank we ensure performance in accordance with the Code of Ethics and Conduct laid by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and Institute of Surveyors Uganda.  This has continously positioned us as the most preferred valuers for most of the financial institutions, with a reputation for high regard for ethics and integrity which is critical in a market as volatile as ours.  Our reports are detailed, informative and accurate.  We ensure that our business practices meet your specific objectives.

Our property valuation services are headed by the Managing Director, Mrs. Judy Rugasira Kyanda, who has vast valuation experience of over 18 years throughout Africa and the United Kingdom.  The valuation department has a combined experience of over 25 years across all property sector valuations.  Our experience enables us to carry out complex valuations for various purposes, and we have a branch network of 209 offices in 47 countries across six continents which we can call on for specialised valuations when the need arises.

Types of properties for valuation include (but not limited to);

  • Commercial Valuations - Office buildings, retail shopping centers and complexes
  • Residential Valuations - Condominiums, apartment blocks, villas, housing development projects and standalone residential units.
  • Industrial Valuations - Large scale factories and warehouses and industrial estates
  • Special Properties - Hotels, resorts, golf courses and country clubs, mining lands, ports and hospitals.
  • Leasehold Properties - Valuation of leasehold properties
  • Plant & Machinery - Large scale plants and high-tech factories including power plants, semi conductor plants, gypsum product factories, steel factories, sugar mills, textile factories, chemical plants, and automobile plants.

Knight Frank Uganda Ltd operates a busy and successful team of residential and commercial agents ensuring that any company, organization or individual requiring property in Uganda is catered for. The department acts for a large number of landlords ranging from international corporations to local individuals in selling or letting their premises.

The department is headed by Wilson Maina together with Charlotte Nuwagaba.

Residential & Commercial Property Management

The department manages a wide range of properties including large multi-let commercial properties and individual houses in and around Kampala providing a full property management and accounting service. Knight Frank Uganda Ltd manages the refurbished 15,000 Sq M Crested Towers office complex, Properties include Rwenzori Courts measuring 6,000 Sq M and Rwenzori House having 4,000 Sq M of lettable area; possibly the most prestigious office addresses in Kampala.. Other Residential Managed properties include a number of properties in the Royal Palms – Butabika, Hostels such as Elite Residence having 40 compartments and a number of Apartment Blocks containing 5 – 20 apartments. The department is run by Wilson Maina – B. Arts (in Land Economics) and Facilities Management.
